This is a review we got from a past sale. This was unexpected to receive it. Here’s why
We got a call from another sale company and asked if we could take a sale that they didn’t have time for. It turns out that there were challenges to doing this sale. Plus it needed to be done like yesterday.:
First, one of the elderly owners had Dementia, and the other one was taking care of them and then health issues hit and one passed.
Second, the first next of kin lived about 100 miles away, and could not manage clearing the house.
Next it was in a gated community, the HOA had very strict guidelines as to who, and when a sale could be held. Then as we progressed, we also needed a permit, could not display any signs inside the complex except for 1 out in front of the property on sale day.
Then, we also had to pay for an extra person to work the day of the sale at the security gate, and we could not have them hand out a map to the house for the sale.
The final draw was that we were only allowed to do a one day sale.
We crossed all of the hurdles they didn’t expect us to and set up the sale according to how the relatives wanted it.
We heavily advertised the sale, and it was a very large sale with artifacts from all over the world, personally purchased and brought back by the owners. These were not just the typical tourist attraction pieces, but many high end items.
The sale went as smooth as it could be done, with many people coming and while many look, others purchased some very nice items.
Once the sale was done, everything removed from the house and ready for the agent to list it we settled up with the estate.
